DAY 1

Today, we stand together as one nation to honor the dedication of the service members who have defended our freedoms at sea and in the air, both past and present, and celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence. Travel with Wolf's to Baltimore, MD and join sailors and aviators from around the world who will come together in the universal fellowship of freedom, hope and opportunity that our country has always represented in a grand celebration of the birth of our nation for Sail250® Maryland and Airshow Baltimore. This event is a global gathering of international tall ships, military ships, and aircraft celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the United States. Baltimore is part of a five-city national event which also includes the ports of New Orleans, Norfolk, New York and Boston.

Upon arrival in Baltimore's Inner Harbor, you will have free time to grab lunch on your own and observe the historic sailing ships, naval vessels and international tall ships in and around the harbor area. Early afternoon, you board a vessel for a leisurely cruise out into the waters to witness the stars of the airshow, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron, and other aviation performers that the fill the skies above with the "sounds of freedom" and awe-inspiring aerial displays and flyovers. The very first Blue Angels air show was performed in 1946, making it the second oldest formal flying aerobatic team in the world, after the French. Since then, there have been 246 demonstration pilots and 35 flight leaders/commanding officers. The aircraft can reach a maximum of 700 mph during the show, and the closest distance the jets fly to each other is during the Diamond 360 maneuver, when they fly 18 inches apart. There is no better way to see these elite Navy pilots perform than on the water below the show.

Once back at the dock, you will have some free time to grab a bite to eat on your own and at your expense, as well as explore the Inner Harbor. At 6:15 p.m., you depart for home.
