Day 1

Travel with Wolf's Bus Lines to the beautiful lands of Virginia. Following arrival in Leesburg, VA, you will take a memorable tour of the Oatlands Historic House and Gardens. Here, you can expect to take in the sights of a stately mansion, beautiful rolling farm land, exquisite gardens, and a repository of more than 200 years of American History and culture. Oatlands was once a thriving wheat plantation and base for numerous business enterprises until the time of the civil war. During most of the 20th century, Oatlands served as the country estate of Mr. and Mrs. William Corcoran Eustis. After you take in the history of the plantation, you will board the motorcoach and depart for Hamilton, VA, where you will visit the Barns at Hamilton Station Vineyards, located right in the historic town of Hamilton. Allow yourself to enjoy a relaxing time of wine tasting and a light fare picnic, with foods consisting of meats, cheeses, spreads, warm baguettes, crackers, soft pretzels, pork BBQ, chips, salad, and dessert! You will spend your time throughout the breathtaking acres that surround a beautifully restored 105-year-old stone and wood dairy barn, which has been transformed into a unique tasting room. Savor some wine while you sit back and relax on the back deck, patio, or the grounds, all overlooking the pond! After your snacks and sipping conclude, you will board the motorcoach and depart for one last stop. You will next arrive in Purcellville, VA, home to the Blooming Hill Lavender Farm and Gift Shop. This "farmlet" sits on four acres in the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge in Western Loudoun County. Home to Cyndie and Peter Rinek, they welcome visitors to pursue and enjoy their garden gift shop, and most especially, their gardens that highlight a collection of 1,000 lavender plants, in almost 100 different varieties. After learning all the interesting things about lavender, you will have the epic opportunity to enjoy the taste of some lavender ice cream! Spend the remainder of your day touring the gardens, pursuing the gift shop, and walking the fields to immerse yourself in lavender.
**Please note that the lavender farm is located on a little bit of a hill that cannot be accessed without walking up a set of steps, OR walking up the driveway.** After luscious lavender memories, your day has come to an end. You will board the motorcoach and depart from Virgina, heading for home. A meal stop at your own expense will be made on the way.
