Christmas At The Stone Gables Estate

Day 1

Climb aboard a holiday trek that you won't soon forget. A short coffee stop will be made prior to your first stop for a ride upon the Harrisburg, Lincoln & Lancaster Railroad Train. We'll ride behind the replica of a 4-4-0 steam locomotive as it huffs, chugs, whistles and howls in an Pioneer coach car that will transport us back in time as we meander along the rails enjoying the peace and tranquility of the forested ride through the 275-acre Stone Gables Estate showing some of the most picturesque locations. Can we hope for a dusting of snow to help us get in the mood for the season? As we arrive back at the station see the Grand Dame - the 'Star Barn' all decked out for Christmas where you can discover the outbuildings and gift shop. We'll kick off cocktail hour and be treated to a lunch buffet of 5-star rated foods from Lancaster's best caterers. Wineries and Breweries will have their drinks for sale per glass, or bottle. Entertainment ends the afternoon with quality musicians, world renowned Irish Tenor's and sometimes a comedian to make your spirits bright! After lunch we'll tour the Christmas Museum. Over 18,000 sq ft. the center is full of nostalgic Christmas decor in lights, trees, stores and more. The sights, sounds, and smells of Christmas will tantalize the senses and awaken the memories of times gone by. From here we'll board the coach for a Christmas Light Drive-Thru of Stone Gables Estates colossal light display. See storyboards, including the 12-days of Christmas, a light motion train, wreaths and 18' trees. We'll head for home with visions of holidays of yesteryear and hopes for Christmas's to come. A brief stop will be made on the way home.
