Day 1

Your day begins with meal and rest stop at your expense enroute to Dover, OH where your enchanting Holly Jolly holiday journey starts with a gracious welcome at the historic JE Reeve's Victorian Mansion. Step back in time on a guided tour of this exquisite late 19th century Victorian absorbing the ambiance of a classic holiday, complete with a delightful treat of cookies in the Charmin Carriage House. The 17-room home topped by a 3rd floor ballroom, has been carefully restored to its original turn-of-the-century splendor and features the unique treasures of the original furniture and antiques. The Carriage House Museum keeps its original purpose by housing an interesting collection of vehicles including the family's original 1892 carriage, along with the family sleigh, a rare 1922 electric car, and a restored doctor's buggy. Following your dose of Victorian elegance, you'll depart for check in at the Inn at Amish Door (330-359-7996) in Wilmont, OH for a three-night stay. This country retreat provides beautifully appointed rooms featuring quaint, rustic aesthetics with modern conveniences, including complimentary Wi-Fi. The evening is highlighted by a celebratory dinner and spectacular show next door in the Milana Ballroom at the Amish Door Restaurant, starring the talented Denny Diamond in his "JOY" performance, where his smooth, powerful vocals will cover classic holiday songs from the Great American Songbook. Afterwards, you take a short walk to the hotel to turn in for the night.

Day 2

Begin your day with a delightful deluxe continental breakfast included at the hotel followed by a scenic drive to Medina, OH for admission included at Castle Noel Museum. This is the ultimate holiday experience, boasting the world's largest collection of Christmas movie memorabilia, including costumes, stage sets, original NYC department store window displays, and even a full-scale replica slide from A Christmas Story. Following your quirky visit with cinematic history, you'll enjoy a charming lunch included at Miss Molly's Tea Room. In the afternoon, you travel to Canton, OH to immerse yourself in the festive displays at Petitti's Garden Center, a gorgeous expanse filled with a vast array of beautiful Christmas trees, wreaths, poinsettias, and unique holiday decorations. After time to browse, you return to the inn for a refreshing break before your evening culminates in Sugarcreek with a hearty holiday buffet dinner followed by an unforgettable performance at the state-of-the-art Ohio Star Theater. Here, you'll enjoy a special Glenn Miller Tribute show, featuring a live orchestra playing holiday favorites and more. You then return to the inn to turn in for the night.

Day 3

Wake to a deluxe continental breakfast included at the inn before you depart for Millersburg for exploration into the unique culture and culinary delights of Amish Country. You begin with a tour of the magnificent Millersburg Victorian Mansion, a spectacular Queen Anne-style home preserved by the Holmes County Historical Society. The grandest home in town, the Victorian House is a national tourist attraction as it has appeared on HGTV, featured in national home magazines, and filmed for Hollywood movie productions. Next door, you'll visit the Millersburg Glass Museum, which proudly showcases some of the world's rarest and most valuable art glass. Explore the only public collection in the world of Millersburg Glass, which was only produced from 1909-1912, making the glass pieces very rare. In this historical museum, you'll find 400 masterpieces cherished by collectors worldwide. Afterwards the morning sweetens with a stop at Troyer's Sweet Shop, a haven of confections specializing in buttery cashew crunch and cream truffles, where you'll have a fun opportunity to dip our own signature buckeye candies and shop to take some of your favorite sweet treat's home with you. Then, enjoy free time to stroll and have lunch on your own and at your expense in beautiful downtown Millersburg, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The afternoon treats us to samplings at Heini's Cheese Chalet, where over 50 varieties of locally made cheeses await, followed by a complimentary pastry of our choice from Kauffman Country Bakery. Your exploration continues at the nearby Walnut Creek Market Place, a large indoor market featuring unique vendors and a new onsite winery for those interested in a tasting on your own. Following your time to explore the market, return briefly to the Inn to freshen up for dinner at a local restaurant before you head to the Amish Country Theater for their "Christmas in the Country" show, a hilarious and spirited evening of live comedy, singing, magic, and lively audience participation. Following a full day of entertainment, sweets and history, you return to the Inn for a much-needed night's rest.

Day 4

The final day of your holiday adventure begins with a deluxe continental breakfast at the Inn before you bid a fond farewell and travel to the Warther Museum for their annual "Festival of Trees," where dozens of beautifully decorated trees and wreaths are displayed for sale, benefiting the local hospital. Your visit includes a guided tour highlighting the spectacular, intricate steam engine carvings by master carver Mooney Warther, and a stop at Mrs. Warther's fascinating button house, showcasing over 70,000 buttons arranged in stunning artwork. You then travel to Dennison to visit the Dennison Depot Museum. Recognized as a National Historic Landmark, The Dennison Railroad Depot is the most significant remaining example in the nation of a railroad canteen still reflecting its WWII heritage. During WWII, 1.3 million service members, approximately 13% of all armed personnel, traveling by troop train stopped at the Depot where they were served free food by 3,987 working volunteers at the Dennison Depot Salvation Army Servicemen's Canteen. Following an included light lunch, you'll tour the restored rail cars and a diorama of the village, complete with model trains, and be delighted by a special visit from a guest bearing candy canes. With your hearts full of holiday cheer, you will then begin your journey home, making the necessary comfort and meal stops along the way at your expense.
