DAY 1
Jingle in the holidays with Wolf's Bus Lines, on a trip to Bucks County, PA, where you will make many merry memories, with a stop at Peddler's Village, a self-guided tour of the Mercer Museum, and a tour of the Christmas decorated, Fonthill Castle. **Please know that due to its very historic nature, the castle has very limited accessibility - with steep stairs and narrow, uneven passages.** Begin your day with a stop at the Peddler's Village, home to a million lights and a million smiles, for free time to get in your Christmas shopping, and enjoy a delicious lunch on your own. Take a stroll through an enchanted Village and sip some tasty beverages. Stop for a ride on the 1920s carousel or play some games in the arcade. Hum your favorite Christmas tune, while you stroll through the lights of a magnificent display of gingerbread houses. Shop the 65 specialty shops and boutiques to find your perfect Christmas surprises. While out, enjoy lunch on your own with a wide variety of choices. Whether you choose fine dining, with options like Buttonwood Grill, Red Fox Lounge and more, or casual fares like Fizzy Mama and the Painted Pony Café, you are ensured to find the perfect place for you. Following your first jingle into the season, you will next depart for the Mercer Museum, a six-story reinforced concrete castle designed by Henry Mercer, and completed in 1916. You will have the chance to enjoy a beautiful, self-guided tour of the museum complex, featuring local and national traveling exhibits, as well as a core museum collection of over 17,000 pre-Industrial tools. The museum also features a research library that is a center for local history related to Bucks County and the surrounding region, with its roots dating back to the founding of the Bucks County Historical Society in 1880. Following your captivating experience, you will then depart for your final stop, the Fonthill Castle. Home of the former Henry Mercer, he built the Fonthill Castle as not just his home, but also as a showplace for his collection of tiles and prints. The castle consists of forty-rooms. over two-hundred windows, and eighteen fireplaces. Just to enhance your holiday shenanigans, the Fonthill Castle will be decked out-jolly, with a large display of magical holiday décor. Following your cheerful holiday experiences, you will depart for home, with a dinner stop on your own, along the way.
