Your awe-inspiring ride will take you from Antonia, CO to Osier where you will disembark for an included lunch. DAY 4

Following breakfast included at the hotel, you depart for nearby Mesa Verde National Park for a day of exploration. Here you will visit cliff dwellings where the mysterious Anasazi once lived. Known as the "Ancient Ones" to the Navajo, the Anasazi lived in the Four Corners area almost a thousand years ago, then suddenly disappeared - leaving their incredibly well-preserved dwellings to intrigue and challenge modern man. This is the nation's largest archeological preserve with 4,000 sights including 600 cliff dwellings. Spend some time in the Visitors Center with its large collection of ancient artifacts for an introduction to the ancient culture. A local expert will guide you through the most famous ruin sites with a stop at the Far View Terrace Cafe for lunch on own and at your expense. Upon arrival in Silverton, enjoy some free time to explore the many shops and have lunch on your own and at your expense. Next, you board the motorcoach for a scenic drive north to Grand Junction where upon arrival you check into your hotel for the night, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Grand Junction (970-241-8888). DAY 6

Fuel up for your last day of touring with breakfast included at the hotel before you check out and travel to your first stop of the day at one of the grandest landscapes of the American West, Colorado National Monument. This scenic treasure is much more than a monument, witness towering monoliths that exist within a vast plateau and canyon panorama. Marvel at sheer-walled, red rock canyons along the twists and turns of Rim Rock Drive, where you may spy bighorn sheep and soaring eagles (sightings are not guaranteed). Your journey continues eastward for a ride through the Heart of the Rockies enjoying vistas of rugged canyons, pristine wilderness, and deep gorges. You will cross the Continental Divide at Loveland Pass before descending into the "Mile High City" of Denver. You have admission included at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden. This museum's mission is to acquire, preserve and exhibit railroad equipment, artifacts, and photographs emphasizing Rocky Mountain area railroads. Learn about the history of this region from the 1860's to present. What a great end to your Colorado train adventure. You then check-in to your host hotel, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Denver International Airport (303-574-3000), for your last night's stay. Enjoy the comforts of home in your room including a microwave, mini refrigerator and hairdryer.
