Niagara Falls & African Safari At Doubletree Hotel

DAY 1

You begin your journey to our neighbors of the north, Canada, with meal and rest stops enroute. You will have to present proper valid identification upon arrival at the U.S. and Canadian Border. After crossing the border, you arrive at the DoubleTree Resort & Spa by Hilton - Niagara Falls (1-905-358-3817) for a three-night stay. The DoubleTree is a 4-star hotel and is located 2 blocks from the brink of the Falls. Resort amenities include an indoor saltwater pool, two-lane adult lap pool, whirlpool, cedar sauna, well-equipped fitness facility, 24-hour business center, coin operated laundry, on-site Starbucks café, in-house steak & seafood restaurant, cocktail lounge and AVEDA Spa offering a range of services (additional costs will apply for spa services). Guest rooms feature a mini refrigerator, coffee maker with complimentary coffee and tea supplies, hairdryer, LCD flat panel TV, complimentary high-speed internet access and iron/ironing board. Dinner tonight is included at a local restaurant with the remainder of the night to stroll around Niagara Falls or enjoy the hotel amenities. After dark, the nightly illumination of the Falls transforms your experience into one you'll never forget.

DAY 2

A full breakfast is included at the hotel before you board the motorcoach to take you to the Horseshoe Falls. Prepare to get up close and personal, as water rushes around you as you soak in the excitement and explore the roar of the Falls. Niagara City Cruises takes you past the American Falls into the basin of the magnificent Canadian Horseshoe Falls. The water falls from a height of 167 feet at a rate of 600,000 U.S. gallons per second. A complimentary poncho is given to each passenger for the ride. Afterwards, the sound is like thunder and the sight is awe-inspiring as you take a Journey Behind the Falls. Descend 125 feet and explore 130-year-old tunnels through the bedrock and feel the vibration of the Falls before you see them. Step out onto the observation deck for an amazing view that will leave you breathless and even a little wet from the mist. Lunch is on your own today before you have admission included at the IMAX Theatre to view the thrilling presentation "Niagara: Miracles, Myths and Magic" which tells the story of Niagara and its daredevils. The IMAX takes you back in time to learn about its 12,000-year history, witness the death-defying stunts performed by daredevils who challenged the fury of the Falls, and it takes you on a virtual heart-pounding ride over the Falls. Next, you return to the hotel for the remainder of the day to do as you please. Dinner is on your own and at your expense.

DAY 3

Wake to a full breakfast included at the hotel prior to departing for travel to the African Lion Safari Park in Cambridge, ON Canada. The park is a drive through Wildlife Park dedicated to the conservation of declining wildlife species. It is home to over 1,000 exotic birds and animals that roam freely through seven distinct drive through game reserves. Included in your visit today is a narrated African Queen Boat Cruise around Safari Lake. The captain will provide a narrative about the wildlife and scenery that you pass by as you meander around the islands. Also included is the Nature Boy Scenic Railway that travels through the reserve inhabited by exotic species from around the world and many animals and bird's native to the area and is pulled by a miniature replica of an 1863 C.P Huntington Steam engine. Finally, hop aboard the air-conditioned Safari Tour bus to venture out into the reserve to witness the wildlife up close and personal, as well as the scenic countryside that makes up the property. You also have time to explore the exhibits and purchase lunch on your own while at the park. Late afternoon, you depart the Safari Park and return to Niagara Falls for dinner on your own and the remainder of the night to explore the area and/or enjoy the amenities at the hotel.

DAY 4

Enjoy a full breakfast included at the hotel before you check out and prepare to cross the border back into the United States. Please make sure that you have your valid identification ready to present to the border officials. You will have meal and rest stops at your expense on your way back to Pennsylvania.
